Crazy summer... if you ask Ally or Emmy, they´ll tell you I´ve been a bit wacky lately. God has been showing me how much He is in control. It is so much better to follow Him than to try to do my own thing, even if it hurts at first...
Yesterday we were going about our business having a pretty chill day after the tornado of gringos happened, when 2 girls showed up at our door and asked us how they could have a relationship with God... okay... wasn´t expecting that, but great! And, they want to lead a youth group here... two prayers answered. A couple hours later, Emmy and I were heading off to the bank when three more women came up to us and asked us how they could know God. Sounds good to me! Another prayer answered, as they live next to a family that wanted to start a home group.
So I give up... God´s got a better plan than I do and He´s got it under control. He´s beating the concept of total surrender into me, and for that I´m thankful. We´ve got a little over a week here, and the professors are planning a big party for us next Thursday. The Pastor from Ica is planning to come up next week to help us set up small group Bible studies. We´re planning to have our first youth group meeting this Sunday. And I´m just thankful to be along for the ride.
Please pray for Matt, who is sick again, and for team unity as we finish out... Thanks for reading! Miss you all a ton and am praying for you.
