The Home Stretch

Sorry we haven´t posted in a few days... this is our last week in Laramate. We´ll be heading out this Saturday, on to Paracus for day, to Lima (I´ll be stopping in the jungle for a couple of days!!!), to our debrief in Chosica, and then to Macchu Piccu before returning to the Motherland. We´re all tired and ready to go home, so please pray for us that we will finish out the last week strong and stay positive.

We had our first youth group meeting yesterday, and two girls showed up. We had a great Bible study and then played ¨Go Fish¨... one of my favorites to play with my grandma when I was a kid... I was the worst cheater back in the day.

The Pastor from Ica is coming up tomorrow afternoon, so he´s going to use his fabulous spanish speaking and church leadership skills to make sure that what we´ve started can continue after we leave.

We found out that there is a building in the square for sale, so we´re going to check it out as it might be a great meeting space for the future... I have dreams of starting a library here, and we´ll be leaving a lot of extra clothes here as there are many needy people... for the future i´d like to look into some other forms of aid for the people, especially those in the annexes. Please pray for God´s will to be done here.

We are praying for you... keep praying for us. Can´t wait to see everyone back in the states!

Sat. morning
Liz,
bring back some pictures of the different mountain villages where you've been working, oh, and the penguins and Macchu Piccu too, if you can.
I'm praying for Matt to feel better so he can enjoy the whole experience a little more.
God has a way of saving the best for last and He may do something really special with you guys in these last few days.
take care,
Wayne
