Bird Hunting

So yesterday we had a Bible study with Martin. We went down to the rio and he decided it would be better to sit on the grass on the other side. We crossed where he decided and I slipped and went in nearly up to my waste. Yeah, it´s funny now. I am ridiculous.

Anyway, after Bible study we were talking to Martin about how it was Independence Day in the U.S. Trevor said that we needed to blow something up or shoot something. Martin told us he had a 70 year old shot gun. We got it and we went out to the fields and we went bird shooting. I had one shot, and I killed a bird that was sitting on a tree. I´m not going to lie, it was a pretty nice shot. Anyway...

Today we got up and were suppose to have a Bible study with a man named Adrian, but he never showed. Please continue to pray for him. He actually approached us about studying the Bible so he seems like he wants to learn, he possibly just forgot. After that Martin took us all with his wife to his fields. On the way we stopped on the side of the road and shot birds and then just grabbed them and through them in the van. Once we got to his fields we cooked the birds and ate them for lunch. It was a pretty sweet time.

After returning back to Laramate, we were supposed to have a Bible study with Josephina, but we did not show up either. So we sat in the square outside her door and prayed while we waited. Afterwards a kid who were a pretty familiar with, Alex, came up to talk. Liz started going through a track with him and he ended up praying to accept Christ! Glory to God! He is only about 13 and he definitely does not have strong leaders around to help him grow. Please continue to pray for him that God would bless him with a desire to read the Word and that he would not fall away with a lack of discipleship here. We also are very good friends with one of his friends, Alex. He is the son of the family who owns the restaraunt we always eat at. We are going to get more intentional about sharing with him, so you can continue to pray for that as well.

Finally, we have a meeting with another lady from the Salud tomorrow. Emy went to see if Sonya was around and ended up talking to another lady that wants to study with us. Please pray that she would remember and show up tomorrow and that it would be a good time to grow in the knowledge of God and the Word together. She seems to be a Christian already, but we don´t really know.

Thats about it, Sorry I feel like I get kind of dry with my posts sometimes. Check other people´s for more entertainment.

In Christ,

- Matt
